We lend equipment only after a thorough verification of the borrower. A third-party agency helps us with this check and the borrower’s personal details (name, phone number, address, etc.) will be shared with the agency for this purpose. Once a borrower is approved, he/she will need to deposit an original photo ID with us during the rental period.
If a borrower shares incorrect personal information with us or returns a damaged equipment, he/she shall be blacklisted not only from Bokeh Dotz services but all camera rental services in Bangalore.
Equipment borrowed from this website is the sole property of Bokeh Dotz, and a borrower cannot claim ownership of the equipment at any point in time.
The first rental equipment for any user will be home-delivered (as part of the address verification process), and INR 200 will be charged for the delivery. The borrower is required to pay the full rental amount prior to delivery.
The borrower must ensure that the equipment is in good working condition while he/she receives it. During the rental period, guarding the equipment with any damage or theft is the sole responsibility of the borrower.
If the borrower intends to take the items outside India, he/she must inform us in advance and take necessary permission. Similarly, the borrower must declare it to Customs prior to leaving India and pay the required fees.
If the equipment is lost or damaged during the rental period, or if any of the accessories provided with the equipment is lost or damaged, the borrower must replace the lost item with a new one along with paying the rental till the date of replacement.
In case of a no-show or if we are unable to reach the borrower over the phone on the date of return of equipment, double the daily rental will be charged.
All items that we rent are only for normal use. Please do not use them in any extreme conditions.
If the borrower cancels a booking a week before the delivery date, the entire amount paid till then will be refunded. For cancellations within the week of delivery, 40% of the total booking amount will be deducted as part of the cancellation fee.
If we do not receive the rented items within 72 hours of the end of the rental period, and if the borrower is not reachable via phone, we will initiate a recovery procedure. This will include handing over the case to our legal team, filing an FIR with the cyber cell, booking a case of Section 420, publishing the picture of the borrower on our website and other social media platforms. We will also use the services of a private investigator to track the person and the items down.
A typical one-day renting will work as follows:
Start day of the rental: May 07, 2017
End day of the rental: May 07, 2017
Home delivery of the equipment: May 06, 2017 (between 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.)
Return of the equipment: May 08, 2017 (between 9:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M.)
